Everything for this course lives on this site, and it is built to be used in a particular way. Five minutes here saves you an hour of wandering later.
Start where the site starts
The landing page for your section always shows the most recent class — agenda, what we did, what is due. If you were away, that page is your first stop; if you were here, it is still the quickest answer to “what was that thing she said about Thursday?” Older class pages sit right behind it, one per day, so catching up after a week away is a matter of reading five short pages in order.
Three habits that make the site fast
- Search first. Press ⌘ + K (or Ctrl + K) and type any word — a convention, a task name, a phrase you half remember. Search is almost always faster than browsing folders.
- Hover before you click. Rest your pointer on any link — try Tableau — and the page appears in a small preview window. You can check a term mid-sentence without losing your place.
- Read the backlinks. At the bottom of every page is a list of every page that links to it. On Hot Seating, the backlinks show you each class and task where we used it — a ready-made review list nobody had to build.
Where things live
